Samsung Rant M540 mp3 ringtones?

I bought a Samsung Rant yesterday.

I plugged the included micro SD card into my computer and copied some MP3 files and other picture files onto the memory card.
From the phone, I want to assign one of the MP3 files I transferred as a ringtone.
So far it seems like I can only choose one of the ringtones on the phone, or I have to download a ringtone. But I don't want to do this.
How can I set one of my mp3 files as a ringtone on my Samsung Rant?

The Samsung Rant M540 for Sprint is highly customizable for making any mp3 song as a ringtone on your phone.
All you have to do is go to Phonezoo.com and create an account.
Once your account is created if you want to create your own ringtone from your music select the option for creating a ringtone from file.
The next step is to upload your file & then create your ringtone. Once the ringtone is created choose "Save to my list".
Select "My list" and then your ringtone, once you have your ringtone selected select "Save to computer" and choose the sprint pcs vision uploader.

That's all.

I found this question while trying to put ringtones on my new Samsung Rant. This is the best way to do it for free:

1. go to Phonezoo. Create an account if you don't already have one.
2. select rintones at the top if you to create your own ringtone from your own music select the option to create from file.
3. upload your file & then create your ringtone.
4. once the ringtone is created choose save to my zoo.
5. select my zoo & then your ringtone.
6. once you have your ringtone selected select save to pc.
7. upload the saved ringtone to rumkin.
8. choose the sprint pcs vision uploader.
8. enter the info & your phone number & the rumkin uploader will send the ringtone to your phone free of charge.

I created lots of ringtones this way easily for my Samsung Rant.

I also have a M540 Samsung Rant through Sprint and i did go to Phonezoo.com and the ringtones will not go to my phone when it sends to my phone it shuts it off and then back on so i am needing help also on how to download the ringtones to my phone. Thanks, Tabby
