iTunes Freezes When Downloading Podcasts

Ever since I've upgraded iTunes to the latest version I now have an issue whenever I download podcasts.

I start downloading a podcast and after a minute, iTunes freezes and I am unable to click onto anything until the download is finished.

Is there a workaround for this problem?

You should reinstall iTunes, don't worry about all your music it won't be deleted.

It is an odd issue. iTunes can get bogged down a little after it downloads a video episode and needs to process it before storing it in the library.

I think something is obviously draining your CPU when you download a podcast and that is why iTunes freezes.
