Video Won't Play in iTunes

I have a PC with the latest iTunes and Quicktime versions installed.

Just bough a new iPod which is playing videos fine.
So videos play fine on the ipod but will not play in iTunes on my PC.
Already reinstalled Quicktime and iTunes from scratch and still nothing.
My computer is new and fast, all other video formats will play just fine.

When I buy a new video in iTunes and try to play it on my computer, I just get to hear the audio but no video at all.

What can I do?

You need to reinstall iTunes again but in the way Apple indicates it.
Go to Apple website and follow the steps: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976

Please don't skip steps.

If you still have the problem, then it seems to be an issue with the nVidia card and drivers. In that case you have to do this:

Open QuickTime player
Edit>Preferences>QuickTime Preferences
Then go to the “Advanced” Tab

Under the Video section, un-check the box that is marked “Enable DirectDraw Acceleration”
This will allow video to play without getting the dreaded green screen.

If you have to, use the DirectDraw “Safe Mode”.

Your suggestion with the update to use the DirectDraw “Safe Mode” did the trick without having to uninstall anything.
