Occasionally i can't feel my heart beat through my chest.
Is it normal that i cant feel my heart beat when i put my hand over my chest when i am sitting down? I've tried to feel my heartbeat in my wrists, chest and neck but can't feel anything. I am always thinking I'm having a heart attack. In the past, I've had a lot of chest pain and shortness of breath.

Why is it that I can't feel my heartbeat, is this a bad sign? my father is diabetic and so is his mother. I feel a bit uneasy about not feeling my heart.
