My Ipod is Broken

Today I tried to turn on my ipod but I think it's broken. It just wont turn on.
And the worst part is that I'm out of warranty, I tried to charge it but it won't do even that anymore.
I think I broke it when I left it all day long exposed to the sun.
Is there something I can try to fix it?

Did you try to reset you iPod?
It may work again after you reset it. To reset your iPod try this:
Toggle the Hold switch on and off.

Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, maybe 5 to 15 seconds.

If you do this and it wont reset, try connecting your iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
