Screen Shows "Contact Service"?

I just recieved an old razr v3 phone from cingular. I am on the old att still. I've never done anything silly to the phone such as unlocking it or whatever, but the other day it suddenly started displaying
"CONTACT SERVICE" on the screen.
I tried to restart the phone but same "contact service" screen pops up. Keys don't work when Contact Service screen shows up. What should I do?

"Contact Service" is a message that simply means an error has occurred with one of the applications in the mobile phone. This is similar to how we sometimes get a message on our computer saying ''error has occurred, reboot''. Unfortunately, the ''reboot'' option doesn't work on a mobile phone because there is none. Therefore, it would be best that you take your mobile phone into an authorised service center (ASC) and tell the technicians that you're getting the "Contact Service" screen. They will definitely be able to assist you.
