Transfer Pictures to iPhone From PC?

Can't seem to transfer my pictures taken on another camera and placed on my desktop PC
to my iPhone.
The reason I'd like to do it is to show my friends some of the pictures I took.
When I try to transfer the pictures from my pc to my iphone, it acts like it send them but when i check my iphone theres nothing in the pictures directory. Any ideas on whats wrong?

You need to use iTunes. Just plug in your iPhone to the PC and go to the photos tab and add the folder you want to transfer.

Put the pictures in a sub-folder/album in the main pictures folder. Then sync iTunes photos to just that sub-folder.
Go to My Documents, My Pictures, make a subfolder by right clicking go to NEW then Folder, name it something like iphone photos, then cut or copy pictures over to that folder.
It should transfer the pictures to your iphone from your pc.

Is there an easier way to transfer the pictures to my pc? I'm not computer savvy.
