Looking at the handsome Padieu, none of the ladies that he had been with throughout his life, ever developed any note of suspicion towards him until quite late.

Philippe Padieu infected all women with the HIV virus, and he slept with more than 20 women. He was convicted and sent to jail and he never recognized his crime.

A jury in Texas, found Philippe Padieu, 53, guilty on six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors told jurors in closing arguments that Philippe Padieu knew he was HIV-positive in the fall of 2005 but continued to have unprotected, "high-risk" intercourse with multiple women, exposing them to the virus that causes AIDS.

Padieu was born in France but came to the United States with his mother, who married a U.S. citizen, when he was 10. He faces a sentence of up to 99 years in prison.
