School Closings Illinois?

My son is supposed to go to school and I don't know if the school is open or not.
There have been reports of school closings in Illinois.
I've called but the line is not working. The webpage says:

"Parents will only receive notice if schools are starting late or closed, otherwise the day will proceed as usual. Please recognize that no system is foolproof; a power outage or extreme demand on these systems could affect access to communications technologies."

How can I find out if my son's school in Illinois is closed?

Illinois is very complicated today, there has been several school closings in Illinois.
Some roads in both Illinois and Iowa have been closed. Travel is not advised.
If you don't get a response keep calling, maybe the phones are out due to the weather.

A major winter storm is sweeping across the nation, with very low temperatures, strong winds from heavy snows from northern Arizona and Colorado, east and north to the Great Lakes region and the Northeast beyond. Middle Atlantic and southern states can expect rain, sometimes heavy, from the system.

It has the potential to be the biggest storm we’ve had in up to 10 years.
The worst of the storm, which is coming out of the southwest, is expected to hit tonight and the blizzard-like conditions will remain into Wednesday afternoon. By Wednesday night, temperatures could plummet to zero or below in Illinois. Expect lots of school closings.

The following districts and schools ask families to check local radio and television stations to find out if buses are running late, school is closed or buses will return early.
