Are zhu zhu Pets For Boys?

This year for Christmas my baby brother wanted a Zhu Zhu Pet so I was gonna go out and buy him one but then I found out they were sold out. I guess I never realized how popular those are.
It is not like anyone has ever heard of them before.
Just a question. Are these zhu zhu hamster pets for boys and girls too? Or are they too feminine for little boys?

Zhu zhu pets are for boys too, not only girls.
They're cute little animals and anyone can play with them.
Many children want pets but simply are not allowed to have them and the opportunity to posses such a life-like critter, as much fun (so it seems) as a real pet with non-of the drawbacks (like cleaning a cage) and toss in the variety of options which allows kids to "pick your favorite style" and you have the ear markings for a great holiday toy for the year.
