This old magazine article describes how a home computer could look like in the year 2004. Notice the size of the home computer, at the time computers where only used in laboratories and universities.
Compare that thing with a modern iMac.
It's funny to see they projected the future with elements they had at the time. They never imagined flat high definition screens, they just placed a big TV there.
