Sommer Thompson Found?

Police in north Florida issued an Amber Alert for a missing 7-year old girl who never made it home from school in Orange Park, Florida.
Her name is Sommer Thompson and the latest update I watched on tv said she was still missing.
I'm at work right now so I can't access news websites. Has Sommer Thompson been found yet or is police still looking for her?

Not found yet.
A daylong search for her in Florida has produced more than 150 leads, but the child remained missing and officials said they suspect foul play.

More than 100 Clay County deputies, law enforcement officers from neighboring counties, the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement scoured a residential Orange Park neighborhood looking for Somer Thompson.

I hope she's ok.

They've found a child's body in a landfill in Folkston, GA. No confirmation it's Sommer Thompson, but will know probably by the end of the night.

Somer Thompson
I think whoever did this had to know the county refuge system ? Or that the person did this right in the neighborhood and put her right in the trash like a regular day not to look suspicious, its so sick... I feel so bad for her...

I don't know why a mother would even let a 7yr old walk home from school in this sick world we live in!

First of all the mother did nothing wrong. I walked to school when I was 7. The world is just a bit gloomier now. Do not bash the mother of this child, she is going through enough the way it is.

I followed this story from the beginning,I could relate to Sommer's mom so well.I admire her for what she is doing now.She said from the beginning "we will find you" ! She recently said there will never be another Monday in her life,The reason I could relate so well is because 3-28-10 marked the 5th yr. my daughter has been gone, she passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm.I could not imagine having a child missing only to be found passed away.As for not doing Monday's anymore, I hate clocks and calendars ! Please know I pray for you to get the strength that I prayed so hard for...that and my 3 other kids keep me going,It will be a long five years but I think you will do fine, you seem so strong to me ♥
