Megan Williams 2009?

Megan Williams ignited an outrage in 2007 when she said she was gang-raped in Charleston.

I was reading the news and I found out that Al Sharpton gave a $1,000 Christmas gift to Megan Williams who claimed she had been gang-raped by a group of white men.

And now in 2009 Sharpton wants cops to investigate whether Megan Williams "fabricated her story."
Is Megan Williams telling the truth now or is she a liar?

Sharpton said he visited Williams after her horrific story broke and gave her some of his "personal money" after her supporters told him "she had no resources for Christmas."

Sharpton said that when Williams' lawyer notified him that she was changing her story, he immediately wrote to West Virginia prosecutors, asking them to "vindicate any wrongfully convicted individuals."

Megan Williams is going to speak publically and talk about this.

This is confusing.

Despite a grand jury ruling that declared Brawley's explosive allegations a hoax, her family continues to insist that she was raped and brutalized.

I believe every word of her story. Remember how she went limping to the door quietly crying "help me" when the sheriffs arrived? That indicates that she DID in fact, need help. Williams has been getting death threats and I believe she is recanting her story out of fear. Her entire story makes no sense at all and the people CONFESSED every single one of them. She's slow, so who knows what somebody can get her to say.
