Plum Organics has announced a Baby Food Recall today October 10, 2009. I heard the concern is possible botulism contamination and that no illnesses have been reported. Botulism is a rare, serious paralytic illness so I'm really concerned.

Plum Organics is recalling its apple- and carrot-flavored baby food for fear of botulism poisoning. The California-based company announced the recall Tuesday morning, saying the product did not meet FDA requirements.
The baby food is sold in Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us stores. The recalled product is 4.22-ounce pouches, with a "best by" date of May 21, 2010. The UPC is 890180001221.
“The product did not meet the FDA guidelines for proper acidity level” reports Paul Gerhardt for Plum in a statement today.” Plum Organics sells theproduct nationally.
