Zachary Christie Website?

Zachary Christie was suspended from his 1st grade class in Delaware's Christina School District. What did he do? Well, he brought a Cub Scouting accessory to school – a pocket knife that also serves as a spoon, fork and bottle-opener. It's just a camping utensil - a combination knife/fork/spoon - to use at lunch.
The little boy is only 6 years old, come on.
And now, Zachary Christie may face a 45 days suspension and go to a school set up to deal with true juvenile delinquents. So unfair.
There's website that is online now to plead his cause. I'd like to help him, what's the website url?

Debbie Christie has started a website to help with the story of Zachary, her 6 year old son. The boy was excited to be a member of the local Boy Scouts that he decided to bring his newly received utility tool to school where there is a zero tolerance policy on any knives. I'm going to help him too.
Zach's mother is currently teaching the boy via home schooling while this case plays out.
The website is www.HelpZachary.com

Poor little boy.
The website asks that well-wishers send Zachary a note of support and send a list of administrators notes asking that they use reason in administering this policy — even if the local laws don’t strictly allow it.

Tom,
The link you posted for the website takes us to an empty page. Is there another possible site, or could it have been removed?

Sorry to hear Zachary has been suspended from school. It would be a big mistake to make him attend the reform school, he is obviously not disruptive or badly behaved. After viewing his interview on tv today I am impressed at how articulate he is . I understand that the school has to have rules but this little boy clearly didn't know he was doing anything wrong by taking his utility tool to school, each case should be looked at individually.

Agreed, Julie... Each case does need to be reviewed individually... This Zero Tolerance -- or as it should be titled, One Size Fits All -- approach doesn't work well for anything... It doesn't even work well for clothing, and you don't have to spend a lot of time convincing folks of that, do you?

If they send him to reform school they are the biggest morons in the history of education. I am so sick of the lack of common sense in this country. Suspension and reform school for a 6 year old who brought a cub scout utensil to school. It would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

This is just one more example of how the school systems are not doing the job they were intended to do. I certainly hope they are not teaching our children in a "one size fits all" manner also. We all know that each and every child is special and different in their own way, it's just too bad that the school systems are too blind too see this. What has happened with this poor child is abhorent!!! To think they want to sent him to a reform school is just unthinkable.
