Are Banks Open Today?

Didn't want to waste a trip if not. Will banks be open today columbus day?
I know it's bank holiday and banks should be closed but usually my bank branch is open on some of the holiday days too, so I'm asking for some info.
Please let me know, before I go I'll call my bank just in case.

It is now Columbus day in the US, it is a national holiday, so most of the banks are not open today. However While Columbus Day is a federal holiday, and post offices are closed, bank can vary. Many banks are open regular hours today, some shortened hours, and some closed.

Wall Street is open today. Public Libraries can vary too. They also may close on Christmas, but then that is now a merchant's holiday.
Check with your bank to be sure.
