Is Reggie Jackson Related to Michael Jackson?

I heard at school today that Reggie Jackson is related to Michael Jackson. He's not his brother obviously but he is maybe his cousin. Can this be correct, are Reggie Jackson and Michael Jackson related in any way or the only thing they share is the same last name?

Reggie Jackson's real name is Reginald Martinez. He was nicknamed "Mr. October" for his clutch hitting in the postseason in an American former Major League Baseball right fielder who played for five different teams from 1967 to 1987. He and Michael Jackson are not related.
