Solar Eclipse May 2012: Time & Map?

My mom told me that we will be able to see a solar eclipse on May 2012. I'm so excited! Does anyone what is the time of the solar eclipse that takes place on May 2012? Is there a map where we can see the regions that are going to be able to observe it? I'm really excited about this because solar eclipses happen once in many years. If someone can answer me the time and where I can see the map of the solar eclipse on May 2012 I will really appreciate it. Thanks!

A friend of mine told me last night that the solar eclipse begins on May 21, 2012, but you don't have to wait until that date exactly because we'll be able to see the solar eclipse on May 20, so 4 days from now. He also told me it begins on China (it should be a map on the internet to confirm that). I can't tell you the exact time of the solar eclipse but some people are saying the time is about 9pm. I just hope we can get a nice view from the US. I live in California and we never get to see stuff like that, even lunar eclipses are hard to see.
