Is The Human Centipede Based on a True Story?

Is the scary movie The Human Centipede based on a true story or is the whole story made up?
The story is about a crazy German doctor who makes experiments with two young girls and some other guy. Can the movie be possible and real? I watched the movie and I was impressed, it can be really gross in some scenes. Overall it was a good movie (not suitable for everyone) but I was wondering if it is medically accurate, I mean, can someone really create a creature like in The Human Centipede?

The movie The Human Centipede is not based on a true story and it's not real.
It was inspired by all the experiments performed by doctors in Germany during the country's worst years.
I also watched The Human Centipede and it wasn't that good for me, because I didn't see anything new, just another cheesy scary movie.
Although it's not based on real events, I'm not sure if it's possible to make a human centipede. I think not, but I'm not entirely sure.

I read that the human centipede was released after a cold case about missing people and then found later in some old house.
