George Clooney: Malaria in Sudan?

George Clooney was battling Malaria after a trip to Sudan. This is his second time he has had the disease that is synonymous with a death sentence to the people of the region.

He was likely bit by an infected mosquito, which is how the malaria disease is commonly spread.

Tonight, George Clooney will be appearing in a scheduled interview with Piers Morgan where he will discuss his trip to Sudan, his illness and how he recovered.

How is George Clooney doing now? Malaria can be a dangerous disease and it can kill you, is he better now?

George Clooney is doing just fine after contracting malaria during the early January trip to Sudan.

He revealed during an interview with CNN that he fell ill with malaria earlier this month while filming an initiative to promote democracy in the country.

George Clooney traveled to the Sudan to show support for the impoverished country in the light of a referendum on separating the mostly Christian southern part of Africa from the mostly Muslim north.

Clooney said in a statement: “This illustrates how, with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad 10 days instead of a death sentence.”
