New Zodiac Sign Dates 2011?

Apparently there is a new zodiac sing and all the dates have been updated in 2011. There’s a theory among astrologers that the equatorial alignment of the earth has changed since the zodiac signs were introduced 3,000 years ago.

The people at the Minnesota Planetarium Society say that the dates we follow for our astrological signs are not true to the original dates.

Plus, some astronomers believe there is a 13th Zodiac sign called Ophiuchus, which falls between Scorpio and Sagittarius.

While it makes sense, some people are outraged by their change of sign. What are the new zodiac sign dates for 2011?

What I find most confusing about the change is for example, most horoscope readers who consider themselves Pisces are actually Aquarians. So instead of being sensitive, humane and idealistic, they actually are friendly, loyal and inventive.

In addition to changing the signs, the astronomers want to add a thirteenth zodiac sign. You’re an Ophiuchus if your birthday falls from Nov 29 – Dec 17.

Astronomers have been saying for years that the zodiac signs in wide use don't really reflect the heavens above. But the new sign dates has shocked some people who closely identify with their astrological signs.

Here’s a list of new zodiac sign dates from astronomers so that you can determine your new astrological sign.

Capricorn: Jan. 20 – Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 – March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18- May 13
Taurus: May 13- June 21
Gemini: June 21- July 20
Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20

Nothing changes after the new zodiac sign dates.
The only thing that is different is the names, but the personality treats are the same, they're still based on the date you were born, not on the name of the sign.

Astrology say the shift in zodiac signs does not apply to most Westerners, who follow the tropical zodiac, which is fixed to the seasons.

The sidereal zodiac is the one that's different and includes Ophiuchus.
