Advent 2010 Daily Readings?

Sunday November 28, 2010, is the first Sunday of Advent, the beginning. Besides the Jesse Tree, Advent Calendar, and Advent Wreath, what Advent traditions do you have?

In Advent, we long for the coming of the Messiah ... so thus the Season of Advent is a season of doing penance.
Do you do the traditional Advent daily readings? One more verse for each Sunday closer to Christmas Eve.
How many recognize and honor the true meaning of this season ?
How other Catholics are planning to prepare for and celebrate this wonderful time leading up to the birth of Jesus?

I love the season of Advent, I usually get very busy around this time, preparing for Christmas.
We always get a small book of advent prayers from someone we admire. We read one of the prayers for that date before we say grace at dinner. Sometimes this sparks great conversation.
We've made the puddings today - and an advent candle ready to light. Beginning to feel like the season is starting, with the snow we had yesterday!

A new candle is lighted each Sunday during the four weeks, and then the same candles are lighted each meal during the week. In this context, it provides the opportunity for family devotion and prayer together.
