When is Veterans Day 2010 Observed & Celebrated?

When is Veterans Day 2010 observed? How do Americans celebrate it?
If its veterans day, why does everyone else get off, shouldn't it be just Veterans who are off on that day?

Is this day considered a national holiday? Are banks going to be open? Is there going to be mail on Veterans day?

Veterans Day is observed annually across the nation on November 11 to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingess to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Veterans Day is a day to thank and give recognition to those who have served our country. Without brave men and women who have given their service to protect our country, we would not be able to enjoy the many blessings we have in this country.

On November 11, 2010, several Veterans Day ceremonies and parades will take place throughout the country.

There will be no mail and banks will remain closed during Veterans day.
