Notre Dame Student Declan Sullivan Dies?

Declan Sullivan, a 20-year-old Notre Dame student filming practice, died after his video lift toppled in windy conditions. The hydraulic scissor lift he was standing on fell over. He died shortly afterward, the school said.
The University of Notre Dame in Indiana will hold a special Mass today in memory of the student.
Several Irish players then took to Twitter to post their thoughts on the tragedy.

Why was Declan Sullivan allowed to be filming in a scissor lift 50 feet in the air with wind gusts of 50-plus mph? Who is going to be responsible for his death?

Declan Sullivan, a junior, died at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. His sister, Gwyneth, also is a student at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame officials are expected to address details surrounding the tragic death of student Declan Sullivan on Thursday. Though it's not a sure thing.

I guess the responsible here is the person who authorized/instructed Declan Sullivan to be in the lift.

Declan Sullivan updated his facebook from the top of the camera tower where he was recording the football practice less than an hour before he fell to his death. He posted he was really scared of the wind and the tower's condition.

The state's Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has already sent an investigator to the scene of the accident to investigate the death of Declan Sullivan.

The campus is reeling from the tragedy. Students and faculty members alike are taking to Facebook and Twitter to express disbelief that anyone -- let alone a 20 year-old student -- would have been in a camera tower under such harsh conditions.
