Yonni Barrios is the Chilean miner who made headlines when he acknowledged having a mistress for 10 years after he was trapped in the mine disaster and things didn’t look good for the 33 trapped miners.
Yonni's wife was at the same candlelight vigil his mistress. She discovered the affair when it emerged that another woman - Susana Valenzuela - had been attending prayer vigils for Yonni Barrios since the accident.

Yonni Barrios's wife Marta Salinas said she was not interested in the rescue of her husband after learning about his mistress, Susana Valenzuela, whom he had been seeing on the sly for years.

It is not known what exactly will happen between Yonni and his wife and mistress when he finally reaches the surface and starts to adjust to his life again.

Marta has said that as long as Yonni is safe, she is going to leave him.

"He asked me to come, but it turns out he also invited the other woman and I have decency," Salinas says. "This is very clear: It's her or me."

Yonni Barrios is not he only one with a mistress problem. One miner, who has not been named, has a first wife he never divorced, his live-in partner, a mother of a child he had several years ago, and a woman who claims to be his current girlfriend all visiting the camp.
