DJ Law died of a heart attack, according to a statement from the station cited by WVEC.com
WOWI-FM 102.9 also known as 103 Jamz announced Sunday that longtime popular radio host Lawrence "Cool DJ Law" Brown had passed away. He was 40-years-old. Brown was a popular staple of the Boodah Brothers Morning Radio Show.
The radio station has a memorial on its website for Brown with photos of him. He leaves behind a wife. The radio station's Facebook page had received several hundred posts from listeners extending condolences to Brown's family.
On Sunday, Pavar Snipe, a former worker of the radio station said to media sources that the Brown family is devastated “at this loss and appreciate all the prayers of the Hampton Roads”.
