Reggie Bush Heisman Taken Away Why?

It appears that Reggie Bush is about to become the first player in the 75-year history of the Heisman Trophy to have the award taken away.

Why are they taking away Reggie Bush's Heisman trophy? What did Reggie Bush do to deserve this?
Are they going to give the Heisman to Vince Young now?
Did Reggie Bush make any statements about the Heisman trophy controversy?

Reggie Bush was accused of taking gifts and receiving benefits in conjunction with his role as a running back at USC. He won The Heisman Trophy in 2005.

Heisman officials are completing their investigation and "will ultimately concur with the NCAA's determination that Bush was ineligible during his Heisman-winning season in 2005."

A Heisman trust source said they prefer to go the NCAA way of "vacating" the Heisman award and just pretending the season never happened and no one was given the trophy. The plan is for Bush to return his trophy and it will not be sent back out.

Becoming the first player in Heisman's history to have his trophy taken away is undoubtedly embarrassing, but Reggie Bush was the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft, has won a Super Bowl and has made untold millions.

Sources said the trust did its own detailed investigation over the past three months, using a litany of resources and reviewing its information against the NCAA’s findings.
The Heisman Trophy Trust is expected to strip Reggie Bush of college football’s top honor by the end of September.
