July 5 2010: Is There Mail & Are Banks Open?

I've been told today July 5, 2010 is a holiday. But what kind?
Since independence day was observed yesterday on a Sunday, I want to know if today (July 5) banks and the mail are going to remain closed or open their doors again.

Is there going to be mail today? what about banks? Are banks open or closed on July 5, 2010?

Since Monday July 5, 2010 is a national holiday, Libraries and most companies will be closed.
Some banking locations are open around the country. Especially branches that are located inside grocery stores. However they will be on Tuesday July 6th's business.
There is no mail delivery on July 5.

In 2010, the post office will also be closed for ten holidays. Here are the days individuals should expect no mail delivery:

* January 1, 2010 – New Year’s Day
* January 18, 2010 – Martin Luther King, Jr’s Birthday
* February 15, 2010 – Presidents Day
* May 31, 2010 – Memorial Day
* July 5, 2010 – Independence Day (Fourth of July)
* September 6, 2010 – Labor Day
* October 11, 2010 – Columbus Day
* November 11, 2010 – Veterans Day
* November 25, 2010 – Thanksgiving Day
* December 25, 2010 – Christmas Day
