New iPhone 4 Pre Order UK?

I'm in the UK and I plan to pre order the new iPhone 4 with O2, but I don't know whether they charge you as soon as you put in the pre order or when they ship the iPhone 4, so anyone who has pre ordered before please can you let me know how to do it?

I'm a little confused seeing as apple UK doesn't mention pre ordering and none of the network providers mention it.

Can you pre order the iPhone 4 with Vodafone?

Pre-ordering starts today in the US.
O2 aren't doing pre orders for iPhone 4 in the UK. I just got back from my local store as I wanted to know the same thing.

It seems there are no pre orders available in the UK, I've been told all Apple stores and mobile phone stores will sell to each individual on a first come first serve basis.
Apparently pre orders are only available in the united states.

The new iPhone 4 will be release in the UK on June 24.

Just sign up for the iPhone updates (I've already done this, but I haven't heard anything yet. I'm assuming they will email you when it goes on sale.)
