Stacy Peterson Body Found 2010?

As of 2010 Stacy Peterson is still missing, however, llinois State Police say they are following up on a new lead in the 2007 disappearance of Stacy Peterson, and a county coroner in rural central Illinois confirms that a search for human remains is under way.

In a muddy, remote wooded area east of Peoria, authorities are digging on yet another potential site for the body of Stacy Peterson, fourth wife of ex-Bolingbrook cop Drew Peterson.

Does it mean that this time Stacy Peterson's body will be found?
Several times it was believed Stacy Peterson's body was found but at the end it was someone else. Is this time Stacy Peterson's body?

They believe this time Stacy Peterson's body was found. Searchers are digging on private property on Grange Hall Road in Peoria County right now for the body.

Peoria County Coroner Johanna Ingersoll confirmed early Saturday, "There is a search underway for human remains. However no human remains have been located at this point."

Sources confirm that law enforcement, using dogs, first searched a hunting area east of Peoria Friday. Stacy Peterson has been missing since Oct. 26, 2007. Peterson is considered a suspect in her disappearance. He has said he suspects she is still alive somewhere.

As state police scoured the rural area on Saturday, Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky, called the situation "patently ridiculous."

Brodsky said Peterson's position is that Stacy ran off with another man.

Peterson is scheduled to go on trial next month on charges of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio. No one has been charged in Stacy Peterson's case.

Investigators have pursued several tips about Stacy Peterson's disappearance over the years, including sending divers into murky Chicago-area waters.
