Shannon Tweed and boyfriend, Gene Simmons were on an episode of 'The Doctors' last week. During the episode, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed discussed Tweed's real beast cancer scare.

Shannon Tweed is like every other woman who finds a lump in her breast: She feared cancer. Nervous but responsive, the former Playboy Playmate of the Year, model and actress took at trip to the doctor with boyfriend, rocker and father to their two children, Gene Simmons from KISS.

It was just a scare, right? Is Shannon Tweed breast cancer free now?

Thankfully for Shannon Tweed, her lump was benign, but she still had it removed. She doesn't have breast cancer. However, Gene Simmons discussed how 1 out of every 8 women will affected by breast cancer in her life. These are some eye boggling statistics especially when the news about self breast exams and all is so conflicting.

For starters, one out of every eight woman will be diagnosed with breast cancer, so the earlier you catch it the better chance you have of full recovery.

Fortunately they tested it and Shannon Tweed's lump was not cancerous. They soon removed it and explained the importance of getting a regular checkup.

Gene Simmons said it’s obvious that this kind situation will makes an emotional plea for men everywhere, but what you need to do is to make sure that your love will gets all of your full support after you find the sign that showing any symptoms.
