What Happened To Charlie Sheen?

Charlie Sheen's car was found crashed at the bottom of a ravine.

Charlie owns a Mercedes, and the car was discovered at the bottom of a 100-foot cliff in Sherman Oaks, California. My question is, what Happened To Charlie Sheen and why is is car crashed?

Did Charlie Sheen crashed his car himself and then said it was stolen? Or is he saying the true?
After all the scandal with Charlie Sheen and his wife I don't trust him anymore, I think he is lying.

Charlie Sheen is always in trouble. He was arrested for domestic violence related causes on Christmas Day, threatening his wife with a knife. And now this morning, Charlie Sheen's Mercedes had been stolen and found at the bottom of a cliff. At least that's what he says.
His Mercedes SUV has been found crashed in a steep ravine near his Sherman Oaks home.

A search of the area found no evidence that anybody was in the car when it went over the edge. It's being treated as an auto theft.

Police received an emergency call around 4 a.m. from an alert system. Sheen called police around the same time to tell them his car had been stolen.

Nothing else from Sheen's home was reported stolen. The Mercedes was likely taken before the burglary was reported.

The day before the wreck authorities confirmed that Charlie Sheen will be charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault for allegedly putting a knife to the throat of his wife. Maybe this is related somehow.
