PS3 Error 8001050f Still Not Fixed?

A bug in the clock is causing the PS3 Error 8001050f error.
All PS3 users around the world are annoyed by this. They are calling it the error of the century.

The PS3 Error 8001050f error is a bug affecting the clock that SONY contends could be fixed in 24 hours.

The update over at the PlayStation Blog doesn't really add much in the way of info and details.
Is there going to be a fix to this problem ever?

Today, Sony has came out and announced that the error is being caused by a bug in the clock. The bottom line for PS3 users is that slim PS3 owners are fine, while the older fat model owners should not turn their system on for the next 24 hours. Unless you want to risk "errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data."

The error is resetting some system dates to Jan. 1, 2000, along with giving the error message above and kicking people from the PlayStation Network. Some people also could not launch games, as a message would appear saying "Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game." This was also deleting trophies that were already obtained.

I know it won’t help with the anger of wondering how Sony could let something like this happen, but folks with the older systems will just have to be patient as Sony works on a fix.
