How Much is The President Paid?

How much does the President of the US is paid each year? Because at work, my co-workers said that the president gets a lot of money for just sitting at the white house and giving some random orders.
Is the President allowed to use the money that he is paid as he pleases? I think that he should donate his salary to poor people, since his situation is not going to change, he's already rich.
Do the people have the right to know how much the President gets paid? If that information is disclosed somewhere, I'd like to know the numbers.

The president of the USA gets paid around $400.000 a year, and he can do whatever he wants with that amount of money.
It's not right for you to decide what the president should do with the money that he gets paid, he has the right to spend it however he likes to.
Of course that people have the right to know how much the President earns and many of them think he should donate most of it to charity organizations or the church, but that is just a crazy idea.
Why don't you donate your salary and then ask the President to do it.
