Brisbane Australia Flooding Pictures?

The flooding in Brisbane, one of Australia's third largest city, is said to be one of the worst in decades.

Flash flooding caused by weeks of rain has pushed the nearby Wivenhoe Dam to its capacity, and the local government has urged residents not to panic.

Thousands of residents of Brisbane have already fled amid rising water that is expected to affect 9,000 homes.

I just saw a video of how the flooding picks up cars in a parking lot like toys and takes them away. Where can I find pictures of the flooding in Brisbane Australia?

The last time Brisbane experienced flooding on this scale was in January 1974. Back then, the flooding was caused by weeks of rain combined with the effects of a cyclone and exceptionally high tides.

Authorities are issuing emergency alerts, with sirens sounding, to warn residents in Brisbane and surrounding towns for severe and potentially catastrophic extreme flooding events.

So far the floods in Brisbane, Australia have claimed ten lives, and 78 people, many of them children, were missing last night.

Depending on the extent of flooding over the next few days, up to 100,000 power customers could have their electricity cut. The full impact will not be felt for days, if not weeks, and the rebuilding effort will take months.

Here are pictures of the Brisbane flooding.
