Everyone traveling to Canada will need a passport.
As of June 1, 2009, everyone from every country arriving in Canada by air, land and sea needs a passport or equivalent travel document. There are some exceptions that apply to children's passport requirements only.
I suggest that if you need a passport right away, get your passport within 24 hrs using this website: Rushmypassport.com

Passport requirements have been a complicated issue for U.S. travellers to Canada for the past few years due to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.

Good luck with your trip to Canada.
