Listeriosis is a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes.
The bug has been found in several samples of cantaloupe being sold in the United States and there was a recall. Apparently there's an outbreak all over the country.
Listeria infection can be particularly dangerous for pregnant women and old people.
