Grant Desme Priest?

Is Grant Desme becoming a priest?
The A's announced that Grant Desme, has decided to retire from the game in order to pursue the priesthood.
That's bad luck for the team Grant Desme is the most valuable player of the Arizona Fall League.
Does this means that as of today Grant Desme is retired from baseball?

Yes it is true.
Grant Desme, a top-eight prospect in the Oakland Athletics farm system, has retired from baseball to become a Catholic priest.
He's heavy into religion and had the idea from some time now. It's no surprise for the other players.

In 2007 Grant Desme mentioned that "above all, my faith comes first and I dedicate myself to church."
At the time he was considering retiring and becoming a priest but he continued with his baseball career.

Grant Desme is only 23 years old and a winner of the MVP award. He won the 2007 Big West Player of the Year award too.
I guess he's father Grant Desme now.
