2012 Olympics Logo: Zion Controversy?

The 2012 Olympics logo is facing a controversy right now because it apparently spells the word Zion.
Iran is looking to boycott the London games because they're offended by the 2012 Olympics logo.
The country believes the geometrical figures illustrating "2012" in the Olympics logo conceal the word "Zion," a term Iranian officials use to describe Israel and its government.

I don't think they tried to spell Zion with the logo, it's just a coincidence.
The London logo just shows the numbers 2012 in four jagged multi-coloured figures. It's just an abstract rendering of the number.

Iran is the first country to threaten to withdraw their participation at the 2012 London Olympic Games and the issue is being taken seriously.
The 2012 Olympics logo has been part of a controversy when it was first launched. Everyone said it was Lisa Simpson in a special position.
