House to another dimension

This incredible and beautiful installation was made by local Houston artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck. The project that took people by surprise is known as ‘Inversion,’ and was located on Montrose Boulevard.

Both houses were about to be demolished and replaced by a new built project so a few months before the demolition Dan and Dean decided to make their work of art.

Using boards from the outside of the houses they created a funnel-like vortex running between the two that ends in a small hole in an adjacent courtyard.
You can see it only in pictures now since the property was torn down in 2005.
