Pfizer Wyeth Merger 2009?

I'm a Wyeth employee. Pfizer Inc. and Wyeth plan to close their 2009 merger tomorrow, leaving all of us wondering whether we'll be among the thousands to be laid off.
The two companies employ about 130,000 people, and have said that there will be layoffs.
What do you think it's going to happen? The economy is not helping since things are a little bad at the company.
Am I going to lose my job?

I really can't say, you'll have to wait.
State legislators and Gov. Rendell's office have been meeting with Wyeth and Pfizer executives to sell them on the idea of keeping a large Pennsylvania presence.
Pfizer is facing patent expirations on billions of dollars worth of drugs in the next few years, including its best-selling Lipitor, and must cut costs to compensate for those revenue reductions.
Good luck and I hope you keep your job.
