Can birth control affect a pregnancy test?

I know birth control pills is one of the best methods to prevent pregnancy.
I'm very nervous because I'm not getting my period. Do you think it is possible for birth control pills to affect a pregnancy test?
Maybe stress could be causing me not to have my period for the past two weeks and a half.

Birth control does not affect the outcome of a pregnancy test. In general there are no medications that will effect the results of your pregnancy test. The only medications really known to cause false results, are those medications containing hCG.
