Philippines Volcano Eruption?

Thousands of people living near the slopes of Mount Mayon in the central Philippines have fled their homes after the volcano spewed lava and sent ash plumes high into the air.

Soldiers and police oversaw the evacuation around the Mayon volcano on Tuesday, amid concerns that an eruption could occur at any moment.
If an eruption occurs it will be devastating. What are the chances of an Eruption right now in the Philippines's volcano?

Mount Mayon, in the Albay province, is one of the most active volcanos in the Philippines. It began releasing lava earlier this week, with volcanologists warning there could be a major eruption in the next few days.

Authorities warned that evacuees were likely to spend Christmas in an evacuation centre, as the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology raised the alert level around Mayon, located around 210 miles south east of Manila, the Philippine capital.
What a bad christmas for the people in the Philippines. Whatever the volcano does, even if it is a big eruption I hope no one dies.
