Redondo Beach Dead Fish & Anchovies?

There are literally millions of dead fish filling King Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach, California.
It's still not clear what killed the anchovies but there are many theories.

This is not the first time such an event takes place, massive, stinking fish kills also struck King Harbor in 2003 and 2005.
What could have caused anchovies death? Are we approaching the apocalypse?

It's still a mystery what killed so many fish at once.
A theory says the die-off was likely caused by severe winds that hit the area Monday night.
Another one claims the fish may have been trying to escape a red tide, became trapped in the harbor and died after using up the available oxygen.

The anchovies require lots of oxygen but could have ended up being deprived of it when they were all cornered in King Harbor.
Here's a picture of the dead fish.
