Erin Ehrbar Death?

Just heard about Erin Ehrbar death. What a tragic accident.
For the second time this school year, students at Medina County's Highland High School find out about a friend's death.
Erin K. Ehrbar, 16, of Granger Township, was killed Wednesday morning in a crash at the end of her family's driveway as she attempted to pull onto Wilbur Road en route to school with her brother, Andrew Ehrbar, 13.
How did the crash happen exactly? How is Erin Ehrbar's brother?

According to the Medina County Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a car driven by Erin Ehrbar was attempting to turn east onto Wilbur Road when it collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old headed in the westbound direction.
Erin Ehrbar of Medina, died in the crash. His brother Andrew Ehrbar, seated in the front seat has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The 17-year-old driver, identified as Jonathan Slifka of Medina, was taken to the hospital for treatment of facial cuts.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. on Wilbur Road, between Ohio 94 and Beach Road, near Granger middle and elementary schools and a block from the high school on 94.

Troopers say Erin Ehrbar was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire out of a driveway on the north side of Wilbur.
Troopers continue to investigate to determine whether Erin and Andrew were wearing seat belts and whether speed was a factor. Investigators are looking at what role the low sunrise played in obscuring Ehrbar's vision and whether a slight hill Slifka was climbing was a factor.

Andrew Ehrbar is a seventh grader at Highland Middle School.

"We are all shocked and saddened by this terrible tragedy," said Superintendent Catherine Aukerman, in a written statement.
