Olympics Medal Count All Time Tally?

Very few countries can lay exclusive claim to the gold medal or world championship of any one sport. America did pretty well at the Olympics though since the first Olympics took place.

What is the official All Time Olympic Medal Count for all countries?
How many bronze, silver, and gold medals did every country win in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and in all Olympics so far? What's the tally?

The US has ranked the medal count by total medals for the last 50 years and has been the only country other than the former Soviet Union to actually rank the medals.

The International Olympic Committee ranks by the number of gold medals. If there is a tie, then the number of silver medals is counted.

The Vancouver Olympics medal count will be updated throughout the Winter Games. Swiss ski jumper Simon Ammann captured the first gold of the 2010 Olympics, while speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno was the first American to medal in Vancouver.

The Olympics medal count 2010 has increased today with Germany taking the lead over the U.S. and France.

1. Germany - 9
2. United States - 8
3. France - 7

Here is a link to the Olympics all time medal tally.
