Yes, snowboard Cross made its Olympic debut in 2006. During those Olympics, Nate Holland fell and finished in 14th place while Wescott took home the Olympic Gold Medal.
Seth Wescott said he is fresh for defending his Olympic title at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

Wescott said, "Dealing with bumps and bruises is just part of it. Ultimately, when you get to a stage like this, you want to feel like you're firing on all cylinders and I'm feeling there right now."

The next round will feature eight heats of four racers, with each of the top two finishers advancing further into the bracket. This will continue until a final heat of four, when the medals will be awarded.
