Wolf Moon 2010: What is a Full Wolf Moon?

The radio is saying we will a full wolf moon tonight, january 29 2010.
My dad says a wolf moon is basically a full moon with a different name.
What is a wolf moon and why do they call it like that? I mean where does the name comes from?
Isn't tonight's Wolf Moon also a Blue Moon?
I was researching about the Wolf moon, but couldn't find many information. Does anyone know what it is?

Tonight's full moon will be the biggest and brightest full moon of 2010.
That won't just be a full moon out there tonight. It's the full wolf moon.
It goes by different names depending on what tradition you follow. Full Moon names date back to Native Americans, of what is now the northern and eastern United States. The tribes kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full Moon. Their names were applied to the entire month in which each occurred.

The full moon will become known as the Wolf Moon, so named by Indians because it took place in January amid the cold and snow, with hungry packs of wolves howling outside their villages.

Add to the night of sky-watching a mix of Mars and you have quite the spectacle as the moon and Mars increase in brightness.
Tonight the moon will be about 14 percent wider and 30 percent brighter than lesser full Moons of the year.
