Phil Harris Stroke?

Phil Harris, the guy from the Discovery Channel Show Deadliest Catch had a stroke while off-loading from the Cornelia Marie.
The guy is now at the hospital at the St. Paul Clinic in Alaska.
A statement from the Discovery Channel said: "He has been transported to a medical facility and is receiving the best care possible."

Is Phil Harris going to be ok? Is he going to die? Can you die from a stroke?

You can't die from a stroke but your health can get compromised.
For example it is possible to get paralyzed from a stroke. Let's hope nothing like this happens to Phil Harris.
When he'll be out of the hospital is unknown. I do not know the intensity of his injuries.
Harris's MySpace page lists him as 53-years-old and a resident of Washington state.

Phil has been captain of the Cornelia Marie for 18 years, according to the Discovery website, where his two sons serves as deckhands.
The Discovery Channel has set up a message board for fans to leave messages of a speedy recovery for Phil Harris.

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the US. Over 143,000 people die from strokes in the US yearly. Phil, however, is out of his induced coma and is most probably not going to die from this stroke. Let's hope his recovery is full and speedy.
