When Are You Most Fertile?

I've been told by my doctor that in order to get pregnant, I need to consider many factors that affect the whole process. These include: the timing of ovulation, how long the egg lasts, whether there are any sperm present and how long sperm can live inside you.
I want to know when am I most fertile? Which period of the month?

During ovulation. This is the day an ovary releases an egg. All women ovulate at different times, so you'd have to take ovulation tests to find out the exact dates.
There are signs that your body gives off when it is most fertile. One big sign is your cervical mucus. Your cervical mucus becomes very clear and thin.
Women who have regular periods can easily calculate when ovulation occurs. Ovulation almost always happens 14 days before you expect your period. For a woman who has 28 day cycles, that would be in the exact middle of the cycle, 14 days after the last period and 14 days before the next one.
